The world will never stand still, and anybody working with children knows this better than most. In response to this challenge we're running an Education Technology Conference this September for educators across the local area.

We invite you to explore the future of learning at our EdTech Conference

Children of all ages are drawn towards new technology, it can often seem like there’s a dazzling array of new trends, tech and toys on the scene clamouring for attention. The big question for schools and educators has been how to make the best use of the latest innovations to keep children learning, prepare them for an increasingly competitive job market, while also keeping them safe. This is a challenge not to be taken lightly, but one we understand the importance of.

Working together with technology and software leaders such as Microsoft, BT, Capita and more, the conference is gathering educators from across the local area to explore cutting-edge education tools, techniques and applications to help Shropshire’s children get the most out of classroom IT.

Featuring a range of free development courses, with a focus on meeting the demands of the changing curriculum, delegates will be given tools to deal with the big IT challenges of the moment including e-safety, social media, internet security and digital literacy targets. With a mixture of talks and hands on sessions, delegates will also gain unique access to industry experts who are pushing the boundaries of technology learning.

How do I book my place?

Spaces are limited and are on a first come first serve basis, so if you are interested in attending we encourage you register here as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  If you are interested in being involved in this unique opportunity, then please contact ets@shropshire.gov.uk
